Stanbic Bank has temporarily closed their Kampala branch on William Street after registering a COVID-19 case.

The Bank confirmed in a press statement that one of their employees at their William Street branch tested positive for COVID-19.
Apparently, all the staff who are contacts are undergoing testing and have been quarantined for 14days.

"While contact tracing and testing is underway, Stanbic William Street branch has been temporarily closed to avoid any further possible spread of the infection and will be opened the Bank has enhanced cleaning.

"We are working closely with the Ministry of Health and have since implemented the necessary incident management protocol and have provided the health care support to the affected member of staff under medical care," the statement reads.

The Bank appeals to the general public to remain vigilant and continue practicing the right precautionary measures and observe SOPs by the Ministry of Health.
