Entebbe International Airport saw a rise in passenger traffic, with 59,071 arrivals and 66,862 departures registered in May, according to Vianney Luggya, the spokesman of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).
The spokesman noted that the average traffic per day stood at 4,062, but it's yet "to hit the 5000" passengers recorded in 2019.
He also expressed optimism that the record will be broken in the coming months.
In April, the airport's daily average was 3,864 up from 3,793 in March, 3,658 in February and 3,566 in January.
