Police spokesperson Fred Enanga is now a senior commissioner of police.
His new rank is the fourth highest in the police force, coming after Commissioner of Police (CP), Inspector General of Police (IGP), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), and Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP).
He was promoted alongside other 772 officers.
Enanga, who has served as a police spokesperson twice, having resumed the position in 2019 joined the police in 2001. He hold a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University.
On Heroes Day, Enanga was among the 81 people awarded the golden jubilee medal.
