Former presidential press secretary Tamale Mirundi has passed away at the age of 60.
Reports indicate that Mirundi, a well-known political commentator, was placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in July after being admitted to Kisubi Hospital.
On July 23, his son, Mirundi Junior, revealed that his father was being tube-fed and had not spoken since his admission to the ICU.
Several Ugandans took to social media to mourn Mirundi's passing.
Frank Gashumba, Vice Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda in the central region, posted: "Very sad news! Tamale Mirundi has passed on. Kitalo nyoooo!"
Socialite Judith Heard wrote on X: "Kitalo, Kitalo Nyoooo Rest In Peace Tamale Mirundi ????????????"
