Pupils of Dabani Boys Primary School in Busia cheerfully waved to the Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as he left Busia, where he had gone to inspect preparations for the Independence Parade ahead of the 62nd Independence Day celebrations.

The children, who gathered around their school fence, prompted Gen Kainerugaba to draw closer to them, engaging in a conversation about their aspirations, school activities and routine.

The CDF thanked the kids for coming out to greet him and wished them well in their studies.

Meanwhile, during the parade inspection, the General thanked participants for their efforts, particularly in incorporating new aspects of marching and military songs. He praised the band for mastering the songs and encouraged them to maintain the high standard.
The celebrations, expected to be graced by President Yoweri Museveni, will take place at Busikho Teachers Demonstration Primary School in the border district.
