Uganda Baati Limited, a leading provider of building solutions, has launched a nationwide training program aimed at equipping over 2,500 fundis with up-to-date market trends and expertise. This initiative is designed to enhance the quality of construction services offered to customers across the country.
The training sessions, part of an ongoing effort to educate and support local artisans, help fundis stay informed about the latest products and techniques. During a session in Bulindo, Patrick Katende, Head of Service Centres at Uganda Baati, praised the fundis for their dedication to providing top-notch service, stressing the value of these sessions in improving their skills and customer satisfaction.
"Fundis play a crucial role in guiding customers through the construction process. These training sessions ensure they are knowledgeable about the latest products and trends, empowering them to deliver exceptional service and contribute to the housing sector's development," Katende said.
The sessions focus on roofing solutions and after-sales support, allowing fundis to share their field experiences and customer preferences. This feedback helps Uganda Baati tailor their solutions to better meet customer needs.
Daniel Serunkuma, a fundi from Kira, shared how switching his clients to locally produced roofing materials, like those from Uganda Baati, has streamlined his work, making it faster and more efficient.
With construction projects ongoing across the country, Katende emphasized the importance of keeping professionals motivated and well-equipped. The company has already conducted trainings in Hoima, Fort Portal, Mbarara, and Kampala, with plans to expand to Gulu, Arua, and Masaka.
