Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) from the 4 Infantry Division and affiliated units have commenced a six-month refresher training in Communication Information Technology and Signal Regiment Level XIII Course at the division headquarters in Gulu.
Enhancing Military Communication Skills
The training, designated Intake 24/24-25, aims to strengthen the officers’ skills in security operations and military communication.
Colonel Somson Nabeeta, the 4 Infantry Division Administration Officer, officiated the opening ceremony on behalf of Major General Felix Busizoori, the division commander.
In his remarks, Col. Nabeeta urged the trainees to maintain discipline and professionalism throughout the course. “You must uphold the highest standards of conduct and project a positive image of your units,” he said.
Commitment to Excellence
Captain Gertrude Alum, from the 4 Infantry Division Communication Information Technology and Signal, commended the leadership’s commitment to capacity-building. She emphasized that the training would enhance communication efficiency within the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF).
She also warned against misconduct, stating, “Any violations will attract penalties.”
The event was attended by representatives from the 4 Infantry Division and affiliated units.
