The Minister of State for Children and Youth Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, has condemned the violent actions by anti-government individuals during post-rally celebrations in Busia District.
The attack, which left one NRM supporter dead and two others injured, has sparked outrage and calls for swift justice.
Following a heated political rally, tensions escalated when a group of assailants targeted NRM supporters in what appears to be a politically motivated assault.
The Minister emphasized that political differences must never be settled through violence.

He called for security agencies to act decisively in apprehending the suspects and delivering justice for the victims.
The minister also stressed that politics should be a contest of ideas, not violence, warning that unchecked aggression could destabilize communities and undermine democracy.
