The Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua, has donated wheelchairs to persons with disabilities in Amugu Sub-county, Alebtong District, in a move aimed at promoting inclusivity and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups.
While handing over the mobility aids on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Obua emphasized the importance of caring for marginalized members of society.
“A society is only as strong as its ability to care for its most vulnerable members. These wheelchairs are not just tools for movement; they are an investment in dignity, opportunity, and self-reliance,” he said.
The beneficiaries, alongside local leaders, welcomed the donation, saying it would significantly improve access to essential services and enhance participation in community life.
Obua’s gesture adds to his ongoing efforts to address social inclusion and empowerment for persons with disabilities across the district.
