The President, who was accompanied by the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Maama Janet Museveni, said the new facilities demonstrate the country’s growing capacity to process local raw materials and create wealth at the parish and district levels.

Museveni praised DEI Group founder Magoola for what he described as years of determination and innovation. He noted that Magoola’s work stretches from “his early work in Matuuga on malaria remedies rooted in our ancient knowledge, to the vibrant progress we see today,” adding that the entrepreneur “continues to make a real contribution to Uganda’s wealth creation journey.”

During the same visit, Uganda achieved a new milestone in agricultural exports after President Museveni and ministers flagged off the first container of Ugandan chili destined for the People’s Republic of China. Museveni congratulated China for its long-standing cooperation with Africa, noting that the partnership has remained steady since 1949.

“Together, we have today flagged off the first container of Ugandan chili for export to China, another milestone in our march to prosperity,” he said.

The President later proceeded to address his second rally in Kamuli District.
