President Yoweri Museveni's appointment of Alan Kasujja as the new head of the Uganda Media Centre has received endorsement from the Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Gen. Kainerugaba who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, took to social media to commend the selection. In a post on X, he described Kasujja as "the best choice," signaling strong institutional support for the veteran journalist.
"Mzee has made the best choice for head of the Media Centre," Kainerugaba stated, using a common honorary term for the President. He affectionately referred to Kasujja as "my young brother" and humorously as "the tallest man on earth," before concluding, "God bless you Alan."
The appointment marks a significant shift for Kasujja, whose career has been anchored in major newsrooms. He is widely recognized for his work with the BBC World Service, where he hosted prominent programs, bringing a global perspective to his new strategic communications role within the government.
