In a major boost for Uganda’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the MSME Financing Gateway Platform has been launched, offering vital resources to accelerate growth and economic prosperity. This platform aims to create jobs, increase economic activity, and enhance Uganda’s overall development.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) and the International Trade Centre (ITC), in collaboration with the European Union (EU). The platform’s launch is part of the second phase of the EU-EAC Market Access Upgrade Programme (EU-EAC MARKUP II), funded by the EU.
Beyond financing, the platform provides tools, industry updates, and learning resources to support MSME growth and success, positioning it as a key driver for Uganda’s private sector.
