Uganda has intensified efforts to market its tourism and investment potential at the ongoing Tourism Plus Expo in Shanghai, as part of a broader strategy to attract global partners.
The Embassy of Uganda in Beijing is leading the country’s participation in the three-day event, which has brought together tourism stakeholders from across the world.
Uganda’s exhibition booth has emerged as a standout attraction, offering visitors an immersive cultural experience through a blend of visuals, sounds and authentic artefacts that reflect the country’s diversity and heritage.
A key highlight of the pavilion is a curated display of Ugandan products, including handmade crafts and culturally significant items that showcase local craftsmanship and the country’s natural resources.

Live performances by Ugandan cultural dancers have further energized the exhibition space, drawing crowds and providing a vibrant glimpse into Uganda’s rich ethnic traditions.
Officials say the expo presents a strategic platform to position Uganda as a preferred travel destination, known for its wildlife, scenic landscapes and hospitality.
