Museveni Meets Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs

President Yoweri Museveni on Friday met Ahmed Abdulaziz Kattan, Saudi Arabia's minister for African States Affairs, who was in Kampala for a working visit.

The meeting was hosted at  State House Entebbe.

President Museveni in a tweet said they "discussed matters of mutual interest to both nations and our people."

Before meeting Museveni, Kattan met officials from government entities like Uganda Tourism Board, foreign affairs ministry like Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and Uganda Investment Authority (UIA).

Sylvia Owori, the director of operations at OWC, said they "discussed ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation especially in investments, trade [and] security."

Robert Mukiza, the director general of UIA, said during the meeting he "reiterated [UIA's] commitment to facilitating investments from Saudi Arabia."

He urged the Arab nation to look into investing in sectors like steel, minerals, and agro-processing.

Before meeting Museveni, Kattan met officials from government entities like Uganda Tourism Board, foreign affairs ministry like Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) and Uganda Investment Authority (UIA).

The minister, who left Uganda today, is on a continental tour to visit nations he didn't go through at the beginning of this year.
