During a courtesy visit to Ambassador Rae’s residence, Dr. Barugahara extended gifts on behalf of Uganda, including Mustard Seed from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, premium Ugandan Coffee, and Uganda Waragi — all symbols of the country’s rich cultural heritage.

“We were delighted to share gifts, which symbolize our cultural bond. We're excited about potential trade opportunities, particularly exporting our products to the vast Canadian market through the United Nations,” Dr. Barugahara said.

He commended Ambassador Rae for strengthening global partnerships and promoting international cooperation since his appointment in 2020, noting his leadership as President of the UN Economic and Social Council has elevated global collaboration on development.
