Students eyeing opportunities in the Student Loan Scheme have been given more days to apply for the government-funded initiative.
The Higher Education Student's Financing Board (HESFB) says the deadline has been extended from August 30 to September 30 for undergraduates (degree) and October 15 for undergraduate diploma applicants.
HESFB says the move was informed by the delays by the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) to conclude their national selection exercise for different Business Technical Vocational Education and Training (BTVET).
Also, some of the Public Higher Education Institutions have not yet released Undergraduate Admissions.
Applicants have been encouraged to apply either apply online via www.hesfb.go.ug or pick and drop application forms at any Centenary Bank branch.
Applicants are charged a processing fee of Shs53,000, which is non-refundable.
"For applicants appearing on admission lists but yet to receive admission letters, attach the page of the admission list highlighting your name and course," the Board says. "This will be a substitute for admission letters and fees structure."
