Uganda has registered 8 more new cases of the deadly Coronavirus, the Ministry of Health has confirmed.

According to Health Minister, Jane Ruth Aceng, 35 samples were on Monday tested and 8 were confirmed positive of Coronavirus bringing the total number to 9.

"Out of the 8 new cases, 6 were intercepted from Entebbe Airport while the other 2 were got from their areas of self-quarantine," Aceng said.

While addressing the press, Aceng appealed to all members of the public who were from Dubai about two weeks ago to avail themselves for screening.

Aceng however, assured Ugandans that the Ministry has adequate testing kits and that more will be supplied by the World Health Organisation (WHO) this week.
