Last month, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations sent out a tweet noting that President Yoweri Museveni is the most successful revolutionary in African history.

He went ahead to say that he felt sympathy for those who think they could defeat him.

“General Yoweri Museveni, the most successful revolutionary in African history. I pity those who think they can defeat him,” Lt Gen Kainerugaba said in the tweet.

Weeks later, Gen Kainerugaba has however said that President Museveni's success as a revolutionary wouldn't have been possible without former the contribution of Rwanda's president Paul Kagame, former NRA hero Maj Gen Fred Rwigyema and Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh.

"A couple of weeks ago I tweeted that General @KagutaMuseveni was the greatest General in African history, this is true but he couldn't have achieved this without General Kagame, General Saleh and General Rwigema. These four are the greatest Generals in Africa," Gen Kainerugaba tweeted Saturday Morning.

President Paul Kagame and Gen Rwigyema were Rwandan refugees in Uganda who fought alongside President Museveni and Gen Saleh among others during the 1981-85 war to liberate Uganda from the shackles of dictatorship.

The two Rwandan soldiers would then embark on another journey to liberate their own country but Gen Rwigyema would not live to taste the fruits of success. The death of the first chairman and commander-in-chief of the Rwanda Patriotic Front/Army (RPF/A) Maj Gen Fred Rwigyema occurred on the second day of the Rwanda invasion on October 2, 1990.

Uganda and Rwanda have in the recent past had a frosty relationship with some analysts predicting that the two nations would go to war.

In a related message, Gen Kainerugaba tweeted that brothers can quarrel but should never fight.

“Brothers/Comrades and Revolutionaries can quarrel but they should never fight. We have come from very far. I wish His Excellency General Kagame and the people of Rwanda a solemn and respectful kwibuka,” Gen Kainerugaba Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, Gen Kainerugaba has said in a separate tweet that it is laughable when people call him and his family members 'first everything' noting that before they became anything, they were fugitives.

"These days people like calling us 'First everything'. We all just laugh when we hear that. Before were anything, we were refugees in Tanzania and Kenya. Before my father and uncle fought for our country we were fugitives! May Almighty God continue to bless Uganda!" Gen Kainerugaba tweeted.
