President Yoweri Museveni this evening expected to address the nation on matters regarding the Coronavirus and offer further guidance on the way forward.
Mr Don Wanyama, the President's senior press secretary confirmed the developemnt on his twitter handle, saying the President, will tonight at 8 pm, address the country on efforts to combat the #COVID19 pandemic.
The address follows a number of measures aimed at easing the lockdown that had been imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has announced that 40 more positive cases have been confirmed.
This comes after seven frontline health workers including doctors, nurses and other staff were diagnose with the virus.
Meanwhile, on Sunday Uganda registered the biggest number of cases in a single day as 84 people were found positive with the disease.
From the previous cases, truck drivers arriving via various border points such as Elegu (South Sudan), Mutukula (Tanzania), Busia (Kenya) are the ones importing the virus. Apart from the drivers, their contacts are also contracting the disease.
