Robert Kyagulanyi Supporters are Unmanageable, Says Information Minister

Minister of ICT and National Guidance Judith Nabakooba has asked politicians to live by example and manage their supporters during this two months campaign period. 

Using the recently concluded Presidential candidates' nomination exercise, Nabakooba said that police officers reacted with 'excess' force because of supporters of soem candidates like NUP's Robert Kyagulanyi were unruly. 

"Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu's crowd became unmanageable during nominations, and the security had to act," Minister Nabakooba said while appearing on NBS on Tuesday morning. 

"Security on the ground should have a sense of judgment. Politicians need to live by example. In most cases, the crowds are not protected."

Nabakooba criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) for not compelling FDC presidential flag bearer Patrick Amuriat to put on shoes to fit the honorable position he was nominated for. 

"They (shoes) were available. He just refused to put them on," Nabakooba said. 
During the scuffle before nomination, Amuriat reportedly lost his shoes. He appeared for nomination on barefoot.
