Speaker Jacob Oulanyah on Thursday returned to Parliament for the first time since June.

Oulanyah’s disappearance from the public eye sparked speculations of his whereabouts with some media reports alleging that the Omoro County MP was ill and had been flown abroad for specialised treatment.
The Director Communications and Public Affairs at Parliament, Chris Obore however, arrayed fears saying that "the Speaker is well and having time with his children" after going through a long campaign.

Oulanyah is said to have flown to UK to visit his family.

In a flamboyant style, Oulanyah today returned to Parliament where he was warmly welcomed by MPs, staff led by Deputy Speaker Anita Among.

On arrival, Among handed a bouquet of flowers to Oulanyah before he was escorted to his boardroom for prayers.
