Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa led thousands of athletes and well-wishers at the Kololo Independence Grounds today to mark the 52nd birthday of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba through a national charity run.

Thomas Tayebwa was the Chief Runner to represent Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba at the event. The celebration transitioned from a private birthday party into a massive public movement focused on patriotism. Organizers sold participation kits at UGX 20,000 to raise funds for underprivileged orphans and street children.

In the speech delivered on his behalf, Gen. Muhoozi reflected on the journey of this event from a private celebration to a national movement. He shared how encouragement from leaders like Frank Tumwebaze, Daudi Kabanda, Lillian Aber, and Andrew Mwenda convinced him to open this milestone to the public.
