#UPDF 3 Infantry Division

Minister for Karamoja Affairs Hon. Lokii John Baptist has spearheaded a coordination meeting in Kaabong District to roll out over nine million kilograms of emergency relief food. The initiative targets vulnerable communities facing severe drought across the nine districts of the Karamoja sub-region.

Community leaders from Napak and Nabilatuk districts have demanded harsher penalties and increased troop deployments to combat a resurgence of cattle theft. Speaking at a joint security meeting chaired by 3 Infantry Division Commander Maj Gen Wilberforce Sserunkuma, residents protested the frequent release of suspects and called for grassroots disarmament operations.
