Ugandans living in the United States gathered in Washington, D.C. for a breakfast prayer meeting hosted by Uganda’s Ambassador to the U.S., Robie Kakonge. The event, held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the ambassador’s residence, brought together government officials, religious leaders, and members of the Ugandan diaspora.

Bishop Joshua Lwere of the National Fellowship of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda led the prayer session. The gathering aimed to foster unity, spiritual reflection, and discussions on Uganda’s progress and development.

Among the distinguished guests were Uganda Human Rights Commission Chairperson Advocate Mariam Wangadya and Commission Member Crispin Kaheru. Prominent Ugandans residing in the U.S. also participated in the session.

The meeting provided a platform for faith-based dialogue and networking, reinforcing the role of spirituality in leadership and national development.
